Gites at Guebernez

We are starting to get excited about our trip to Brittany in a few weeks time. We are heading over to stay with our good friends Warren and Bev and their son, Freddie, in one of their beautiful Gites at Guebernez. They have just finished renovating their third gite, L'Ecurie which, as you can see from the pictures, looks stunning. We can't wait to have a peek at all their hard work and to relax in the beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful week in La Grande  gite last year and can't recommend it highly enough as the perfect family holiday. The children are safe to roam freely and loved collecting potatoes from Warren's amazing vegetable garden, searching for eggs, playing badminton and swimming in the newly built pool. It is a beautiful area with lots of lovely beaches and lakes within a short drive so there is plenty of variety. We can't wait.

Ma'amite

Love, love, LOVE iconic British brand, Marmite's packaging to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee! 'One either loves it, or one hates it' ......Genius.

Hip Hip Hooray

We have just spent a wonderful weekend celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with oodles of bunting, some of it home made, and plenty of royal themed food and clothing. It's at times like these that I am proud to be British and absolutely LOVE living in London. The kids had fun dressing up in red, white and blue and marched round the garden with their flags. We made crowns with silver card and stick-on jewels and I made Darcey a red, white and blue tutu by knotting strips of tulle around an old elastic headband. We had a street party, made Jubilee themed cake pops and enjoyed celebrating with our friends and neighbours despite the miserable weather.
