I can't wait for this brilliant alternative to wellies to hit the shops. I first read about Splats in Daisy Bridgewater's 'Children's Notebook' in the Daily Telegraph Saturday Magazine and have been on their website regularly ever since, waiting for the launch. Lets face it, wellies are a bit rubbish. Whilst some children love their wellington boots, I am regularly faced with groans when I suggest that they might be more suitable for a walk on the muddy common than the usual trainers. Wellies are uncomfortable, ill fitting and prone to falling off, so these lightweight waterproof yet breathable rain boots look like they might be the perfect solution. I think they look fab and have pre-ordered the boys a red pair each. Fingers crossed they like them as much as I do. Pre order yours on the Splats website.
